These pillow cases, like other high-count linens which I have bought--are very sturdy and would last a long time, I am sure. They aren't as soft as a personally like, but hopefully they'll get softer with multiple washings and regular use. As far as size, the cases are ample in width (I have big,fluffy down pillows), but, like every other pillow case I've gotten in the past few years, could stand to be longer. I don't understand why manufacturers are skimping on pillow-case length; I wondered if pillows have gotten bigger, but, when I compared the new cases against my old ones, I found that the new ones are definitely shorter. 600 thread count does NOT mean soft. I washed it three times to try to soften it up, but in the end, it felt really coarse against our skin. It also wasn't deep enough for the mattress. Ended up at Macy's and got what I wanted for a little more, but on sale. And deep enough to cover the mattress. Oddly enough, the 300 TC duvet cover by the same manufacturer is great and very soft. I found these sheets to be scatchy and not the least bit soft or comfy. The only thing I can compare them to is a fine sandpaper. The first night of sleeping on these sheets I was tempted to get out of bed and put another set on. Hoping for a reasonable quality product similiar to my bamboo or egyptian cotton sheets, I was sadly disappointed. I would not recommend these to anyone and in fact hesitate to even put them in the guest room (unless you want to ensure your company doesn't overstay their welcome).
