These pillow cases, like other high-count linens which I have bought--are very sturdy and would last a long time, I am sure. They aren't as soft as a personally like, but hopefully they'll get softer with multiple washings and regular use. As far as size, the cases are ample in width (I have big,fluffy down pillows), but, like every other pillow case I've gotten in the past few years, could stand to be longer. I don't understand why manufacturers are skimping on pillow-case length; I wondered if pillows have gotten bigger, but, when I compared the new cases against my old ones, I found that the new ones are definitely shorter.
