I have been using mine for at least 3 years and am slowly buying them for all my pillows, especially the guest rooms. There have been no problems at all; I do close the zippers when laundering. If I had been Sue H., I would have returned the cover with the faulty zipper to the store. I think she just had bad luck. I have six covers and never a problem.
