So, I read a lot of reviews and the opinions are DEFINITELY mixed about these sheets. Mine came yesterday. They felt great out of the package. Soft and smooth and seemed appropriately thick to me.

I washed them right away and put them on my bed that very night. They were comfortable to sleep on, the rich red is really nice, and they felt like solidly constructed sheets to me. Perhaps there have been different lots that are made different, but *I* enjoyed my purchase. They were on sale for $38 when I bought them and I think they were worth it.

I've used Wamsutta sheets for some time, and I've always found them to be of high quality. These sheets are no exception. The color is beautiful and the sheet itself is smooth and feels luxurious on the bed.

My biggest problem is something that's not entirely Amazon's fault. I wanted to by my pieces individually (instead of a full-bed sheet set) because I have a duvet cover and choose not to use a top sheet. However, Amazon has been out of the pillowcases for some time. And they've been impossible to find offline, as well! I've had this experience in the past: if and when I do track down another Wamsutta set in this color, it may very well be from a different season/dye lot. I'd rather have completely mismatched sheets than ones that sort-of match.
