Pinzon 500-Thread-Count Egyptian Cotton Sateen Standard Pillowcase Pair, White Best Quality

I assumed that the pillow cases would be silky and soft to sleep on because of the 500 thread count, but they were very stiff as if heavely starched, they remained stiff even after I washed them. They have a nice reflection to the fabric (gold sateen), but not what I expected interms of softness.
