I can actually get these onto my new queen bed, it took some stretching but it works, so call them dual purpose. One of the pillow covers did develop a couple small holes after the first wash, but I believe that to be my error and not the fabric as none of the other piece has shown the same thing, and the holes havent gotten any bigger in recent washes.
