I found this sheet in perfect condition (not a bit faded) at a thrift store and was enchanted with the pattern. I bought it with the intention of making curtains from it but decided I really needed a second sheet. The one I bought on Amazon was identical to the thrift-store find, so it seems that the pattern will hold up well to wear and washings. The stitching all around seems strong (though I personally prefer a selvage edge to the hemmed sides this has). I have never found Tommy Hilfiger sheets to be particularly soft, though, and this one is no exception. I have owned these now for awhile and they are still as good as when we got them. We purchased two sheet sets from this vendor - both 1000TC, one set gold damask stripe, the other solid brown. Both sets are outstanding. The fabric is really nice. It's a fairly thick heavy cotton - it's actually comparable to flannel, but without the sticky furry feel. The fabric is soft but crisp. It washes just fine in the washer. There is elastic all the way around on the fitted sheet.

The gold is a very warm color - on the orangy side. The brown is best described as pastel brown - sort of a chocolate mousse or latte color. It's very pretty.
